Losing weight is not easy for anyone and gets harder as you get older.
I know that won't make you feel better but here are some things to try.
1. Make an appointment with your doctor to see if there is some hidden reason you are gaining weight.
2. Buy a calorie counter book and a diary. Record daily what you eat
and how many calories you consume per day. This is only for your own
eyes so be brutally honest. You should weigh your portions and
calculate calories based on units. Your daily calorie intake should be
somewhere below 2000.
3. Use an exercise calculator to learn how many calories you burn per
period of exercise. For example, if you walk for 30 minutes daily, you
can calculate the number of calories this activity burns per day.
4. Once you have all of this information, you should be able to come up
with a number of calories to eliminate per day based on the number of
calories you burn each day. If you can cut your intake by this amount,
you should lose weight.
5. You might want to join a group like weight watchers -- the support would help you feel better right away.
Good luck.
