    SCHENECTADY COUNTY SHERIFF'S RACE

THE SCHENECTADY COUNTY SHERIFF'S RACE IS ONCE AGAIN TURNING OUT TO BE A CASE OF THE SCHENECTADY CITY COPS WANTING TO TRY TO ONE UP THE COUNTY. IT'S A KNOWN FACT THAT THE CITY P.D. HATES THE COUNTY SHERIFF AND THE STATE POLICE. THEY SEE IT AS SOMEONE TAKING OVER THEIR TERRITORY. HOWEVER FOR MOFFETT TO CRITICIZE THE TRAINING THE COUNTY DEPUTIES GET IS A JOKE. FIRST OF ALL THE TRAINING IS BASICALLY THE SAME AND SECOND OF ALL ASIDE FROM A HANDFUL OF GOOD GUYS THE SCHENECTADY CITY P.D. HAS HAD MORE TROUBLE WITH BAD APPLES USING THEIR ABUSE OF POWER OVER THE YEARS TO THE POINT THAT IT'S SICKENING TO THINK OF SOMEONE WHO RETIRED AFTER A MERE 2 YEARS IN THE HEAD POSITION RUNNING FOR A JOB AGAINST A MAN WHO IS MORE THAN HIGHLY QUALIFIED AND PROFESSIONAL AS HARRY BUFFARDI. HE WORKED HIS WAY UP THE HARD WAY NOT BY TRYING TO SMEAR HIS OPPONETT AS MOFFETT DOES. AS THE SAYING GOES WALK A MILE IN THE OTHER GUYS SHOES. HARRY BUFFARDI HAS TO DEAL WITH THE  POLITICAL CRAP INVOLVED WITH THE BUDGET WHICH MUST BE OVERSEEN BY ANOTHER DEPARTMENT COUPLED WITH OVERTIME  CAUSED BY THE NEVERENDING AMOUNT OF ABUSE OF EMPLOYEES TIME WHICH HAS ALWAYS BEEN AN ISSUE. HE HAS THE EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE NEEDED TO KEEP THE COMMUNITY SAFE. HIS OPPOSITION IS AN EX SCHENECTADY COP  WHO THINKS HE CAN DO BETTER BY ATTEMPTING TO SMEAR HIS OPPONENT WHAT A JOKE.

    Re: SCHENECTADY COUNTY SHERIFF'S RACE

Well It is time to pick your Sheriff Schenectady County.  The Good news is there is a candidate who will prevent violent criminals from escaping into the community, control spending, and fight real crime instead of just giving joe taxpayer speeding tickets.  His name is MIKE MOFFETT.  He is ready to take the post of Schenectady County Sheriff and ensure Training, Efficiency, Controlled Spending Habits, and Integrity, and Safety for our County.  MIKE MOFFETT is ready to work as a team with other police agencies in the county.  So much so that virtually every police officer in the county supports MIKE MOFFETT for Schenectady Sheriff.   I hope you can see past the post disey46 planted to smear Mr. Moffett, you see the only supporters that Mr Buffardi has are his own employees who are fearful of retribution if Buffardi Loses the race.  And as disey46 points out Moffett is Supported by the Schenectady PBA, as well as the Glenville PBA, the Niskayuna PBA, and Rotterdam PBA, as well as the Northeast Police Conference which is a group of 23 Local Police Agencies.  If Buffardi was doing a good job why would every law enforment agency that he deals with support his opponent.

The Reality is Buffardi has had 8 years to correct problems in the Schenectady County Jail, and in those 8 years he continually spends more and more of the taxpayers money un-necessarily.  The jail is less safe.  Buffardi admited to capital news 9 that he knew of a weakness in an outdoor recreation fence, did nothing to correct it, and a prisoner who had an exteremely violent past escaped into the community.  The training for Corrections Officers was so bad Under Harry Buffardi's watch that the Officers did not know what to do in the event of an escape.  Buffardi's men failed to notify surrounding agencies for hours giving the violent felon ample time to comit more crimes.  Thank god the Schenectady Police and State Police working togeather caught the escapee the next day.

Harry Buffardi has tried to be a good public servant twice and failed, it's time for a change.  It's time to elect Mike Moffett as the new Schenectady County Sheriff.
