Someone just said to me, "Why do I kind of feel sorry for Barry Bonds?" Are you serious?!
The guy brings all this on himself. First, he is a miserable human being. He is grumpy, rude, obnoxious and never ever seems to like the media, unless he is being asked about another one of his home runs.
He may have never done steroids, but he did something - human growth hormones or something. It's the only thing that can make his head grow that big, so maybe technically when he says he didn't take steroids, it is correct, but it's something. Is it a coincidence that he only has four HR's this year?
Plus, if like Jason Giambi, he admitted it a long time ago and said he was sorry - Would he really be getting all the heat? Would MLB really be putting pressure on the situation? Probably not. Like Pete Rose, if Barry Bonds had come clean a long time ago and admitted he made a mistake, this would be over and he would be headed to the hall...to join Pete.
