Greetings All:

My husband and I will be moving up to your beautiful city of Albany within a month or so from here in Florida. We are looking forward to the move up there and wish it were right this minute. We both cannot take the tropical heat and sun on a constant basis. It is just too hot for us. Myself, I am originally from New York State-New York City. My husband is from Scotland originally and has been here in the states since 1995. He has already become a US citizen in a beautiful ceremony in Tampa, Florida. New York City is just too large for us. We have found Albany to be a better size for us to spend the rest of our lives in.  We will be renting an apartment-we will be looking for the ones in the area of the Albany Medical Center. We are looking forward to being able to get out and go places, parks, etc and it not be swelting hot. We cannot get out down here unless it is indoors with the air conditioner.

Well, I have written a book, I see.

I am looking forward  to further correspondence from here and when we get up there-from there.

Greetings, Everyone;

This is an update on our relocation. I was offered a position at the hospital and we will be leaving here in Florida on May 28th for Albany, New York-UHaul, car and all. This is the busy time of the move. Packing.  I already have maps of Albany and maps of the location of the motel we want to stay at not far from the hospital and the Washington Park area. I also already located the UHaul we will be taking the truck to, and the location of the apartments in the area of AMC and Washington Park. Both my husband and I want to walk to work (he will be working at AMC as well).  We are looking forward to getting our apartment and getting settled in. We enjoy getting out and walking to parks, farmer's markets, etc.  

I will continue to update this.

Hey Carol, I just joined this forum and I see you are in need of a very belated welcome so.....WELCOME TO THE NEIGHBORHOOD!! I am south of Albany but I bid you salutations and being it's the holiday season, Merry Christmas! Hope you and your hubby are doing well good luck!
