I know that some drivers 65 and over are perfectly fine behind the wheel of a vehicle, both my parents are drivers over 65 years old and they drive fine. But there are some people out there who should absolutely NOT be behind the wheel. I can't tell you how many times I've seen an elderly driver behind the wheel almost cause or cause an accident. If I had the power I'd propose that at the age of 65 all drivers should have to take the drivers test over again totally, not just have their eyes checked. Really, just because they can see doesn't mean they should be driving! Now I don't want a bunch of replies saying how mean I am, because I am not, I've discussed this with many people over 65 and they say it's a great idea and they wouldn't mind at all retaking the driving tests because they too, see how many elderly people are out there driving who should not be behind the wheel of a vehicle.
