It seems like there may be misunderstandings on both sides of this issue. I have a service dog and understand access rights, but am not sure who is completely right here. In any case, though, there should have been no rudeness or loud activity on anyone's part, as described in the coverage.

Service Dogs in Training, generally does not have access rights, unless granted by state laws.  The ADA does not address and cover SDits.  I use a Psychriatic Service Dog and I had no access rights until she was fully trained 3 yrs ago.  But I do believe NY does have SDit laws, but from what I heard by certified trainers only.  I do not know if the NY statutes would cover this puppy or not.  I don't live there.  But I know how Walmart is concerning Guide Dogs versus Service Dogs in some stores.  I had contact by one Walmart in the very same manner as described in the article few months after my PSD had finished her training.  I contacted the regional manager and it was straightened out and she was gonna have the employees retrained about Service Dogs.   Which sounds like they are doing in this situation.

FIRST OF ALL  THAT WASN'T EVEN THE REAL ISSUE #1 THIS MOTHER HAS NOW SUBJECTED HER DAUGHTER TO BEING LABELED AS "CRAZY" WITH CLASSMATES NOW AND NOTHING IS MEANER THAN OTHER KIDS. #2 AND MOST IMPORTANTLY THIS "LADY" DID WHAT SHE DID WITH SUING IN MIND WHY ELSE WOULD YOU WANT TO BRING A DOG IN A STORE THAT SELLS FOOD ITEMS FOR A KID WHO COULD HAVE EITHER STAYED HOME WITH THE DOG OR STAYED IN THE CAR FOR A FEW MINUTES. EVERYONE KNOWS HOW MUCH MONEY WALMART MAKES SO THATS WHY THIS LADY SINGLED THEM OUT WHO'S KIDDING WHO?????
