60th Annual Tulip Festival

This highly anticipated spring festival celebrates its 60th anniversary as over 200,000 tulip bulbs blossom into a sea of colors just in time for Mothers Day. Historic events take place annually during this three day festival including the street scrubbing on State Street, the Tulip Queen Coronation*, Tulip Queen and Court Luncheon and Royal Tulip Ball.
This year’s festival unites the senses like never before with exciting and innovative new attractions. Friday evening will introduce Night Fire, a unique art-installation of the elements involving local artists and community partners to create a special 60th anniversary ceremony.
Also, a wellness garden will be available Saturday and Sunday compromised of local, regional and national resources for personal wellness. In addition to these great events, the festival has expanded to all day Friday, making food and crafts available for purchase in addition to the traditional Saturday and Sunday vendor atmosphere.
Acoustic music highlights Friday's events, while Saturday and Sunday include children’s activities and multiple stages with nationally acclaimed musical performances .
