Details: The Adirondack Soaring Group, a non-for-profit Soaring Organization, will be offering 5th annual 2-Day Glider Ground School at the Curtis Lumber Corporate Offices in Ballston Spa, New York. This is an open to the public event where group organizers, flight instructors, and FAA Officials will presenting in a classroom format instructional information, presentations and general glider flying information as part of learning how to fly a Glider type aircraft with the ultimate goal to provide the requisites for a student pilot or those with an interest in flying Gliders with information on how to pass the FAA Private Pilot-Glider written exam and provide an introduction to Glider Flying. The event will cover on subjects such as Airframe and Performance Considerations, Radio Operation and Navigation, Meteorology, Medical Factors, Flight Instruments Soaring Techniques and Federal Air Regulations. The class will be limited to 20 registered attendees and, pre-registration is required.
