Books by Broadway 2, the Second Annual benefit concert given in aid of the Sharon Springs Free Library & Community Expansion Fund. Performers are seasoned and 'up and coming' Broadway actors, this year including Jonathan Dukochitz (Corny Collins in HAIRSPRAY), Austin Jetton (CATS, STARLIGHT EXPRESS and SHOWBOAT) and Amanda Webb (a Sharon Springs native and graduate of the NYU vocal arts program). One of last year's participants Sierra Boggess will make her Broadway debut as Ariel in Disney's THE LITTLE MERMAID.
The Sharon Library moved into their new building during the summer of 2006. Funds raised at this concert will go towards on-going PHASE III work on the Community Center and municipal spaces for the Village and Town of Sharon. All funds used during this 3 year project have been raised through grants, donations and fund raisers such as BOOKS by BROADWAY. Space is limited and tickets are selling fast.
Tickets are available in Sharon at the Library, NBT Bank, My Sister's Place Cafe, Cobbler & Company, or any Sharon Springs Free Library Board Member.
